Shocking information has come to light that a total of Rs 5 crore 26 lakh 39 thousand 563 was spent on the campaign organized for environment-friendly Ganesh immersion in the area. Vigilant citizen Vijay Thackeray has revealed the huge expenditure of the Municipal Corporation due to the information obtained from the authorized citizen. A total of 105 tenders were floated for arrangements for Ganesh immersion in 10 divisions of Municipal Corporation Hadditil. This included 98 tenders under Rs 10 lakh and 7 tenders above Rs 10 lakh.

Thackeray has accused the KDMC of being a duplicitous role in spending crores of rupees on giving the message of environmental protection and on the other hand thousands of liters of sandpanyavar in the city, without any process, are releasing it directly into the creeks, rivers and drains, thus causing water pollution.

Also, the idol soil immersed in the artificial pond and 3 drums and the fraction of POP will go to Vilhewat Kashi Lavli, no clear information about this has been given by the municipality. Therefore, he has accused the citizens of being a pure extortionist of taxes. Last year, a total of 52 thousand Ganesh idols were immersed, which included 293 public temples.
