Saharanpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today transferred the first installment of ₹1 lakh each to the bank accounts of 10,214 beneficiaries of Saharanpur district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)-2.0. He also held a virtual interaction with a woman beneficiary from Saharanpur, Sunita. At the ceremony held at Jan Manch, housing approval certificates were symbolically distributed to 10 beneficiaries. In the state, the highest number of housing approval certificates—10,214—were distributed in Saharanpur.

The Chief Minister asked Sunita where her house is located and what benefits she has received from government schemes. He also asked who all are in her family and whether the other beneficiaries sitting with her are also receiving the benefits. In response, Sunita said, “Yes, everyone is receiving the benefit. I am very happy today. There are four members in my family. We have two children, and my husband works as an electrician.”

The Chief Minister further told Sunita, “When you build the house, the electrical work will be done easily. This house has been given to you by the Prime Minister. Build the house well; you will receive two more installments.”

While interacting virtually with the beneficiaries, the Chief Minister said that today the first installment under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 has been sent to 90,000 beneficiaries across the state with a single click. In Saharanpur, 10,214 people have received this benefit. He said that the benefit has not been given by looking at anyone’s face. It has been provided to the poor, women, the deprived, Dalits and Scheduled Castes. When the living standards of these beneficiaries improve, it will also benefit the state. The state will move towards development and the economy of the state will also gain from it.
