Mumbai shrekesh Choubey:- Moroshi Date 08 – The struggle over the Kalu Dam, which is planned in Murbad taluka of Thane district and is proposed through MMRDA to supply water to growing cities like Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan-Dombivli, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath and Badlapur, is now reaching its peak. Today, Thursday, October 8, Shiv Sena’s firebrand leader and spokesperson MP Sanjay Raut, who is on a tour of Junnar taluka, met the office bearers of the Kalu River Dam-affected Social Organization, Kalu area at Moroshi. He discussed with the farmer representatives of the proposed Kalu and Shai Dams and Bhorande Project-affected areas the direction of the movement ahead, as well as the ongoing activities related to the dam at the administrative level and the farmer issues arising due to it. While appealing to all the citizens of the Kalu and Shai Dam areas to come together and prepare to take to the streets against this unjust policy of the Fadnavis government; he also promised to raise his voice in the assembly against the proposed ‘Malshej-Bhorande Adani Project’ of the beloved industrial group of the Modi government at the center. Also, the president of the organization, Sambhaji Fanade, said that MP Raut had assured to stand by the dam-affected people on every occasion in the future and support them in their struggle. At this time, MP Sanjay Raut learned the feelings of the people in the dam area from the farmer representatives present. Speaking to the representatives, the organization’s vice president, Syed Sheikh, said that the organization has given a stern warning to the government that in the coming days, they will participate in the protest jointly decided by the Kalu River Dam affected social organizations and the Shai Dam Struggle Committee and hold the administration accountable.
