District Magistrate Inspects Siddhpeeth Maa Shakambhari Devi Dham Area; Reviews Quality and Timely Execution of Construction Works

Saharanpur: District Magistrate Manish Bansal on Tuesday conducted a site inspection of the ongoing tourism development projects in the Siddhpeeth Maa Shakambhari Devi Dham area. During the inspection, he reviewed the progress and quality of the construction works.
The District Magistrate inspected the construction of Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), parking facilities, landscaping, footpaths, murals, sculptures, water fountains, boundary walls, toilet blocks, souvenir shops, strengthening of the pilgrimage route, development of tourism amenities, installation of signage, lighting works, entrance gate complex, and the open-air theatre.
He examined the quality of construction materials being used at the site and directed officials to ensure the use of high-quality materials. Emphasizing proper finishing, he stated that all construction works must be completed in accordance with prescribed standards.
The District Magistrate instructed officials to ensure adequate parking facilities near the under-construction souvenir shop. He further directed that the Tourist Facilitation Centre, open-air theatre, and multi-level car parking being constructed near the entrance complex should be completed within the stipulated timeframe using quality materials and in compliance with established norms.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate also reviewed the testing of construction materials at the temporary laboratory set up by the executing agency at the site. Regarding the construction work on the pilgrimage pathway, he instructed that proper drainage arrangements be ensured to prevent waterlogging. He directed that all related works be completed by February 2026.
Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Regional Tourism Officer Ravi Shankar, along with other concerned officials and representatives of the executing agency, were present during the inspection.
